Year 10 Mock interviews: Preparing our students for “the real world”

All Year 10 students took part in mock interviews, organised by the Career Development Department. Students prepared real resumes, dressed to look professional and were interviewed by experienced people for a fake job in retail and hospitality sectors; two sectors that hire a lot of high school students.

For most students, this was their first time being interviewed. While some students were nervous, they did their best. After the interview, they received good and constructive feedback from their interviewers. This was a great opportunity for practicing for real job interviews.

The interviewers left noting how much they admired our students’ community-oriented mindsets. They want our students to believe in their talents and skills even more than they already do. Our students are developing their skills every day at school, at home and in the community.
